Each year, the Iraqi American Union proudly hosts its prestigious Annual Benefit Gala, drawing over 800 attendees. This esteemed gathering includes students, families, distinguished community members, and state and local representatives. The evening is a celebration of our rich heritage and a showcase of our vibrant community.

Highlights of the Evening

The gala features keynote speeches from renowned figures. In the past, we have had the honor of hosting luminaries such as Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, Abathar Tajaldeen, and many other notable speakers. These speeches inspire and engage our audience, highlighting the achievements and contributions of the Iraqi diaspora.

Cultural Extravaganza

Guests enjoy a delightful dinner, accompanied by traditional dances and talent displays. These performances are a testament to our cultural heritage, providing an opportunity for the community to connect with their roots and celebrate their identity.

Purpose and Impact

Our primary goal is to raise funds for our annual $5,000 scholarships and to donate at least $10,000 to support initiatives in Iraq. Additionally, we aim to fund various current events and programs that benefit our community. The gala serves as a crucial platform for uniting the community, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting cultural education among the youth.
